My passion is to help clients embrace who they are, and feel empowered to face the world with confidence and self-acceptance. Sometimes you may feel like there is a weight on your chest, a rain cloud chasing you down, or that there is nowhere left to turn. My goal is to create a supportive space for you or your child to lift that weight off your chest and find ways to continue moving forward.
My Story
Hi! I’m Katherine — though most people call me Kat — and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself without judgment. I enjoy helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges while building confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier coping skills.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, and everyday stressors.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. Since moving to San Antonio in 2024, I have continued gaining experience supporting clients of all ages in building coping skills, confidence, and emotional wellness.
I strive to create an inclusive and compassionate environment where clients feel respected, understood, and comfortable being themselves.

My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I believe every client deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and supported. I use person-centered counseling and child-centered play therapy techniques, especially when working with children. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals while focusing on building a strong therapeutic relationship.
