Therapy doesn’t always mean having the right words. Sometimes it means laughing, sometimes crying, and sometimes metaphorically lying in the dirt together until we figure out what comes next.
I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore all parts of our story — the painful, joyful, confusing, and beautifully ordinary. Together, we can let go of patterns that no longer serve you, recognize the strengths that brought you this far, and make space for who you’re becoming.
My Story
Hola, I’m Evelyn! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, and I believe therapy begins with connection, trust, and feeling safe enough to be fully yourself. My goal is to create a space where we can tackle life’s toughest challenges together — or, when needed, just sit in the dirt for a while and figure out what comes next.
I was born and raised in the border town of El Paso, Texas. As a first-generation college graduate and Mexican-American woman, leaving my family to pursue my education was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. That experience taught me a lot about resilience, identity, and the courage it takes to break generational patterns that no longer serve us. Sometimes growth means honoring where we come from while still giving ourselves permission to become who we’re meant to be.

My passion for mental health began early and has guided every step of my journey. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio, along with a certification in bilingual counseling.
I work with children, teens, and adults navigating everything from depression and anxiety to emotional regulation and life transitions. My goal is to create a space where you can bring your whole story — the painful parts, the joyful parts, the confusing parts, and all the beautifully ordinary moments in between.

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and judgment-free, with a healthy dose of flexibility. I draw from DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and other approaches to meet you where you are — because therapy should fit you, not the other way around.
I believe the best therapy is built on genuine connection, trust, and a little bit of courage. Together, we’ll make room for the hard stuff, recognize the wins (even the small ones!), and find tools that actually work for your life. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as your whole self, healing feels possible, and every step forward is worth celebrating.
