About Us
ABC Counseling, Inc. provides general counseling and mental health services for children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults covering a wide range of topics from depression and anxiety to couples and family counseling. We recognize that each client is unique and due to this fact we utilize therapy and counseling interchangeably to custom tailor sessions to be the most beneficial for each client.
Our team is made up of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who emphasize solution-oriented treatment and a variety of other methods to assist with a diverse clientele. Our therapists maintain flexible schedules and we offer morning, daytime, and evening availability.
ABC Counseling, Inc. is a locally owned and operated private group practice with an emphasis on mental health where healing can either be individually based or systemically based.
We are on a quest to provide a safe space for weary travelers and those seeking a safe refuge to share stories and heal. We aim to provide compassionate, competent, and evidence-based treatment. We strive to treat each client with the highest levels of respect, integrity, and ethical responsibility. We are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment to everyone, and we celebrate and honor the uniqueness of all individuals.

Our Story
The story of ABC Counseling Inc., started in 2018 when three interns met at the Rape Crisis Center and things just clicked. We all spoke about noticing unfulfilled needs within certain communities, not just in San Antonio but throughout the state of Texas, where mental health services are not always easily accessible. We dreamed of a day where we would be able to start our own practice and to find ways to serve these communities and many more.
As we completed our internships we began venturing into different organizations where we were all fortunate enough to learn about more communities, the needs within them, and even more therapy modalities. Continuing to stay in contact with one another, we came together at a private practice years later where we began to learn the ins and outs of running a successful group practice to meet the needs of the individual communities we had each become a part of.

Four years later we decided to start making moves to make it a reality. We knew those we wanted to serve and the training we would like to not only receive but give to other clinicians. While we found it easy to begin planning we hit one snag, our name. For days we searched for meaningful names until one day one of our mothers yelled across the house, "What about ABC Counseling?!" and at that moment she cracked the code. We had overlooked how our last names created the perfect name and since then ABC Counseling Inc. was born.
