Asking for help can be so hard to do, but being brave doesn’t always mean being fearless. Being scared and moving forward despite that fear is brave! However, you don’t have to do it alone. I believe we all have a story and that our stories have meaning. They help us find our purpose in life, our individual strengths, who we are and who we can be, and if we look hard enough, the magic in the world. If you’re the hero in your story, I’m the sidekick. I’m the Robin to your Batman, the Sam to your Frodo, and the Ron to your Harry. I will be right there with you in the trenches as we work together to overcome whatever is bringing you to therapy.

My Story

My name is Kelly Clarke and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. While I have experience working with children, couples, and families, my passion is in working with teenagers and adults. As you’ve probably guessed by this point of your journey exploring our website and reading my bio, I am a huge geek. I love watching movies, reading books, playing games, and above all else going to DisneyWorld because all of those things can remind us that we are perfectly imperfect and that it’s okay to make mistakes. I’m here to support you. No judgment. No shame.

I have extensive experience working with teenagers and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+-related issues. I also have experience working with those struggling with self-esteem, PTSD, and other mental health diagnoses such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.

I have a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Denver. I started my therapy career providing therapeutic services while in graduate school through the Community Counseling Service, working with a wide variety of clients from diverse backgrounds. I continued providing clinical services at UT Health’s Transitional Care Clinic, where I worked with adults with severe mental illness, and then at the Rape Crisis Center where I worked with children, teenagers, adults, and families who have experienced trauma. I have also provided clinical services at Starlite Recovery Center, working with adults, teenagers, and families struggling with addiction and substance abuse. More recently, I have served as a counselor at the San Antonio Counseling and Behavioral Center and at Spring Oaks Counseling, where I worked with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues.

I believe in working collaboratively with my clients by utilizing their strengths to help them overcome challenging situations in their lives. As every client is an individual with different circumstances and needs, my approach to treatment is first and foremost client-centered, which means it’s all about you! We will work together to help you achieve your goals and live your best life. I have experience with a wide range of treatment modalities including, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Art Therapy.

My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are with compassion, authenticity, respect, and above all else non-judgment.

I'm looking forward to working with you!
