Student Intern
Linda Beltran, MA, School Psychologist (TSBEP), Student Intern
Sometimes what helps most isn’t having all the answers—it’s having someone steady, compassionate, and deeply experienced walking beside you. I believe healing happens in relationships that are grounded in respect, curiosity, and genuine care. My role is not to rush or judge, but to create space where people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s complexities.Hi, I’m Linda Beltran, a Student Intern training as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Before returning to graduate training, I spent over 30 years as a Licensed School Psychologist, and I continue to work as an Independent Evaluator and Consultant. These professional and life experiences have shaped my approach to therapy—one rooted in humility, compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s story.

My Story
My clinical background includes conducting assessments for ADHD, Autism, depression, anxiety, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. I have worked with a diverse range of individuals and families, including immigrants, incarcerated individuals, families involved in child custody cases, and those navigating Child Protective Services involvement. I have also supported clients coping with grief, adjustment, and loss related to medical conditions such as vision impairment, diabetes, and cancer.
While I bring extensive experience, my heart is especially drawn to working with children, adolescents, couples, parents, marriages, and families. Life challenges can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support is not always easy. I strive to offer a therapeutic space that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, shame-free, and affirming of differences, where clients feel safe enough to explore what feels difficult or unresolved.
In our work together, we may explore situational stressors, unresolved conflicts, trauma, and areas where you feel stuck. I work with concerns including mental health challenges, divorce and blended families, addiction and substance use, and cultural or family estrangement. I am especially passionate about supporting families while honoring each individual within the system.
My therapeutic approach is individualized and collaborative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My goal is to be a steady, supportive presence as we work together through life’s challenges.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, dancing, meditating, and cooking. I love traveling and connecting with people from different cultures, and I have completed extended pilgrimages through parts of Europe, including Italy and the Holy Land—experiences that have deeply influenced my perspective on growth, meaning, and resilience.
At the core of my work is a belief that most people—clients and counselors alike—are striving to live satisfying, competent, and meaningful lives. I aim to meet each client with openness, genuine curiosity, and respect, honoring traditions while remaining open to change and growth as life unfolds.
