About
Kelly Clarke, MS, LMFT-S
Asking for help can be so hard to do, but being brave doesn’t always mean being fearless. Being scared and moving forward despite that fear is brave! However, you don’t have to do it alone. I believe we all have a story and that our stories have meaning. They help us find our purpose in life, our individual strengths, who we are and who we can be, and if we look hard enough, the magic in the world. If you’re the hero in your story, I’m the sidekick. I’m the Robin to your Batman, the Sam to your Frodo, and the Ron to your Harry. I will be right there with you in the trenches as we work together to overcome whatever is bringing you to therapy.

My Story
My name is Kelly Clarke, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor in Texas. While I have experience working with children, couples, and families, my passion lies in working with teenagers and adults. As you’ve probably gathered from exploring our website and reading my bio, I am a huge geek. I love watching movies, reading books, playing games, and, above all else, going to Disney World because all of these activities remind us that we are perfectly imperfect and that it’s okay to make mistakes. I’m here to support you—no judgment, no shame.
I have extensive experience working with teenagers and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ issues. I also have experience working with those struggling with self-esteem, PTSD, and other mental health diagnoses such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Denver. I began my therapy career while in graduate school, providing therapeutic services through the Community Counseling Service, working with a wide variety of clients from diverse backgrounds. I continued providing clinical services at UT Health’s Transitional Care Clinic, where I worked with adults with severe mental illness, and then at the Rape Crisis Center, where I worked with children, teenagers, adults, and families who have experienced trauma. I have also provided clinical services at Starlite Recovery Center, working with adults, teenagers, and families struggling with addiction and substance abuse. More recently, I have served as a counselor at the San Antonio Counseling and Behavioral Center and at Spring Oaks Counseling, where I worked with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues.
I believe in working collaboratively with my clients by utilizing their strengths to help them overcome challenging situations in their lives. Since every client is an individual with different circumstances and needs, my approach to treatment is client-centered, meaning it’s all about you! We will work together to help you achieve your goals and live your best life. I have experience with a wide range of treatment modalities, including Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Art Therapy.
My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are with compassion, authenticity, respect, and, above all else, non-judgment.
