My Story
Hi! My name is Jessica Rodriguez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard and understood. My ultimate goal is to build an authentic connection with you so we can work together toward your personal growth and healing. My passion lies in helping people build self- esteem and heal from emotional trauma, including generational and childhood trauma. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages—children, teens, young adults, adults, and families. I especially love supporting clients as they navigate big life decisions around education, careers, relationships, and family.
My academic journey began at the University of the Incarnate Word, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology. I then furthered my education by acquiring a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University. With years of dedicated experience in research, my training focuses on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges using tools such as person-centered and emotion-focused therapy, which encourage self-discovery, acceptance, and emotional growth. Additionally, I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
