Clinical Director

Christina Song, LMHC, LMFT-S

Life can feel heavy when you’ve spent so much time holding space for everyone but yourself — especially if you’re queer, neurodivergent, polyamorous, or questioning your place in systems that haven’t always affirmed you. You might feel burned out, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode. I believe therapy can be a space where you finally get to put down that weight. I offer trauma-informed, affirming therapy to help you heal from complex trauma, reconnect with your truth, and build relationships rooted in values and choice—not fear. Healing is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. When you’re ready to feel more grounded, authentic, and free to come home to yourself, I’ll be right here to walk with you.

“What if the work isn’t to fix ourselves, but to remember ourselves back into wholeness?”

My Story

Hi, I’m Christy Song — a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Qualified Supervisor. I hold licensure in Florida, Texas, and Colorado, and specialize in trauma-informed care, PTSD, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, and alternative relationship dynamics, including polyamory and kink-aware counseling.

My extensive clinical background spans domestic violence shelters, crisis intervention services, juvenile justice programs, and intensive outpatient care, where I’ve supported individuals facing PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, sexual trauma, and life transitions. These experiences have shaped my deeply compassionate and affirming approach, and my belief that healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and empowered to be their full selves.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2016, and my Master’s in Family, Couples, and Individual Psychotherapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2018. My work integrates a range of modalities to meet clients where they are, including Collaborative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Bowenian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Expressive Therapies (such as Art and Play Therapy), Narrative Therapy, and Family Therapy.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am a Qualified Supervisor, offering clinical supervision, training, and consultation to other mental health professionals. I also supervise student interns at a nonprofit organization in San Antonio, Texas — a role that allows me to support the growth of new therapists while staying connected to community-based work.

At the core of everything I do is a belief in your right to live authentically and connect deeply — with yourself, with others, and with the world around you. Together, we can create space for healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change.
